The Festival goes on from June 12 to 16.  The Bill Evans Trio (the jazz piano revolution) with Eddie Gomez (bass) and Jack DeJohnette (drums) tops the bill and Nina Simone performs one of her first concerts. Brian Auger with Julie Driscoll take part of this event. Among the winners of the soloists' competition we find a british band with John Surman (sax) and a norvegian band with Jan Garbarek. Belgians are represented by Philip Catherine a brilliant guitarist making a big impression on the public with his group “Three Logy”. Palle Mikkelborg (trumpet), Bo Stief (bass) and their band represent Denmark and Switzerland is present with Geo Voumard. The drum-clinic is animated, this year, by Kenny Clarke. The pictures exhibition, vinyl exchange corner and various paintings still animate the Casino. Jam sessions take place at the Museum Club, around the Casino swimming pool and at the Lido.
