From July 2 to 17, the logo of the poster and merchandising has been scratched by cat’s claw and designed by Tomi Ungerer. The brand new Stravinski Auditorium welcomes Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) the brazilian Gilberto Gil, Carlos Santana and, the same evening John McLaughlin’s trio (Dennis Chambers and Joey Di Francesco), Al Jarreau is surrounded by Steve Gadd, Eric Gale, Marcus Miller, Philippe Saisse and Joe Sample. David Sanborn with Don Alias. A Jazz Power evening with Chick Corea quartet, Herbie Hancock trio and George Duke Band. A French evening by name “Vive la France” with Robert Charlebois, Manu Dibango, Ute Lemper, Stéphane Grappelli, Didier Lockwood and a Big Band conducted by Michel Legrand in which Peter Erskine plays drums. Even the "Orchestre National de Lille" is there for two special nights. One dedicated to movie soundtracks and another with world unique musical creations by Lalo Schifrin and George Duke with Stanley Clarke and Airto Moreira among many others. A surprise night July 13 with Eddie Murphy and his Psychedelic Psoul.  Al Green, Chaka Khan, Fats Domino, Dr. John, Etta James, BBKing Blues Band, Anita Baker, James Brown and many other artists complete the program.  The « smaller » hall—The New Q's—opens its doors to Joe Henderson, Abdullah Ibrahim, Zap Mama, Michel Petrucciani, John Scofield, Bill Frisell’s trio, Klaus Doldinger, Incognito, Digable Planets and the Gangstarr Quartet…
